As a new patient, we want to put you at ease with the feeling that you've come to the right place. Our imaging portion of a new patient exam consists of RADIOGRAPHS (x-rays) of all your teeth, and zoom COLOR PICTURES of key areas of concern in your mouth. We perform a full HEAD and NECK SOFT TISSUE EXAM to include : skin, eyes, ears, nose, lips, neck, and lymph nodes, in order to attempt to catch pathology as early as possible for referral. We evaluate your tempero-mandibular joint (TMJ) for possible issues. We then turn our attention to the inside of your mouth where all soft tissue including cheeks, tongue, roof of the mouth, upper throat, lips and gums are examined. Next, EACH TOOTH is carefully inspected and an OVERALL EVALUATION of your dentition (teeth) and occlusion (bite) is established. At this time, we may ask to make MODELS of your teeth to help in the planning of more complicated cases.
We can then propose possibly several TREATMENT PLANS based on your expressed expectations of treatment which will help to fully or partially rehabilitate your mouth. We will not place any undo financial pressure or exagerated urgency upon you.
